Canola Oil

Canola oil, not surprisingly, comes from the canola plant, which is the largest edible oil crop grown in Australia!
Canola oil also has history in Canada. Specially bred in Canada in the 1970s, the name canola is derived from “Canada oil low acid”. Canola oil is light and clear with a neutral flavour. It is high in monounsaturated fats, while low in saturated fat. Canola oil is widely used and is highly recommended as one of the best all-purpose cooking oils on the market.

With a high smoke point of around 205 degrees, a high content of monounsaturated fats, a large amount of Omega 3, canola oil is a popular and great selection for all your family cooking needs. It also has a neutral taste, and is a heart-healthy oil, making it an excellent choice for cooking for families both small and large! We suggest cooking with canola oil at medium to high heat for the following types of cooking:

  • Sautéing
  • Stir-frying
  • Baking
