OPERATOR- FILLING & PET

Sector/ Department/ Unit: Filling & PET

Main Function: Monitoring and performing the Filling & Packaging operational activities.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

Operational:

1. Adhere to ADVOC’s policies and procedures for Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality and Food Safety, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environment and waste management.
2. Perform the proper flushing of lines and change of filter bags, and set up and continuously monitor Filling & Packaging processes parameters, and raise any deviations.
3. Check the received packaging materials quality and details, and raise any deviation or nonconformity.
4. Performs day to day operations in Filling & Packaging as per standard operating procedures and work instructions.
5. Perform in-process product inspections like fill-weight/volume, label, print details, etc. to ensure conformity to specifications, and initiate adjustments as deemed necessary.
6. Coordinate with QFS chemist to take samples and ensure product conformity to specification.
7. Perform the identification, counting, and security of finished goods before handing over to the Warehouse, and ensure area is cleared for forklift operation.
8. Hand over production information and tasks to the following shift.
9. Follow up the execution of corrective and breakdown maintenance when required.
10. Implement good housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas of production and ensures that all production equipment and accessories are kept clean.
11. Perform any tasks delegated by Senior Operator, Team leader, In-Charge, or Production Manager.
12. Cooperate with ADVOC with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken to protect its employees.
13. Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard and cannot be corrected by himself.
14. Report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries.

 Job Requirements

Education & Degree

1. General Secondary Certificate or equivalent.
2. Knowledge in Filling and Packaging processes.
3. Knowledge in ADVOC’s QFS and Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
4. Good knowledge in Housekeeping, Hygiene, and sanitation practices.
5. Adequate knowledge of English language reading, writing, and speaking.

Experience- 3 years of operational work experience in Filling & Packaging.

SUPERVISOR- MAINTENANCE

Sector/ Department/ Unit: Maintenance

Main Function: Supervising the implementation of maintenance plans and activities, to ensure smooth running of equipment and machineries of the plant.

Responding to Breakdown and corrective maintenance requests for all assets.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

Operational:

1. Supervise and monitor the proper implementation of QFS Management System and Health & Safety, Environmental policies in all maintenance activities, and raise any violation or nonconformity.
2. Maintain all relevant documentation related to ADVOC’s machines and equipment, including drawings, installation guides, service manuals, warranty certificates, etc.
3. Implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s,) and work instructions, and guide technicians, assistant technicians and helpers to follow them in conducting maintenance activities and raise any violations.
4. Assist, as directed, in the set up and installation for all machines and equipment, and for approved modifications and upgrading, including fire alarms and firefighting equipment for the buildings.
5. Follow up the proper implementation of service, maintenance, and spare parts supply agreements with manufacturers and contractors.
6. Monitor the execution of daily maintenance activities in all shifts and respond to breakdown maintenance requests by allocating necessary resources and follow up the prompt execution of maintenance jobs.
7. Implement and monitor the proper reporting of all maintenance activities and material usages and maintain the relevant records.
8. Implement good housekeeping and cleanliness in workshop and in the maintenance areas to ensure that all floors, equipment, and machines are kept tidy and clean after accomplishing the job.
9. Conduct internal technical training and HSE awareness to Maintenance technicians.
10. Perform any tasks and duties delegated by Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.
11. Cooperate with ADVOC with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken to protect its employees.
12. Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard and cannot be corrected by himself.
13. Report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries.
14. Review effectiveness and efficiency of internal control system and implement corrective action.

 Job Requirements

Education & Degree

1. Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Advanced knowledge in mechanical and electrical maintenance and PLC’s
3. Good knowledge in refinery and filling and packaging machines
4. Knowledge in vehicle maintenance.
5. Knowledge in fire alarm systems and firefighting equipment installation.
6. Knowledge in Health and Safety and Environmental principles.
7. Certified Training Course for conducting audit on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 22000:2018 systems.

Experience- 5 years of supervisory work experience in maintenance. 5 years of operational work experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.

SUPERVISOR- FILLING & PACKAGING

Supervising the Filling & Packaging processes and activities. Supervising operations and production in Filling & Packaging.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

Operational:

1. Follow up the implementation of policies and procedures for Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality and Food Safety, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environment and waste management in the Filling & Packaging, and raise any violations.
2. Coordinate and follow up the execution of corrective and breakdown maintenance when required.
3. Follow up the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP’s,) and work instructions in the Filling & packaging and in forklift operations and raise any violations.
4. Check all details of a particular Job Order, including production and expiry dates, oil batch number and other codes and format to be printed on the finished goods before starting the job.
5. Check the conformity of received packaging materials and oil and check the filling parameters and raise any deviation or nonconformity.
6. Follow up to ensure the proper flushing of lines and change of filter bags to avoid mix-ups and contamination before starting a new product.
7. Follow up production orders and the daily filling activities in all shifts, to ensure achieving the planned output in terms of quality and quantity targets, and record batch details.
8. Control the identification, counting, and security of finished goods before handing over to the Warehouse.
9. Supervise forklift operations and ensure production area is cleared and marked for forklift operation.
10. Implement good housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas of production and ensure that all production equipment and accessories are kept clean.
11. Monitor and follow up the availability and functioning of printers to ensure uninterrupted operation.
12. Checks the daily attendance of Filling and Packaging staff and assign/distribute manpower to the scheduled lines as per the approved Production Plan.
13. Conduct internal awareness training to Refinery personnel related to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Hygiene, and HSE practices.
14. Perform any tasks and duties delegated by Filling & Packaging In-Charge or Production Manager.
15. Cooperate with ADVOC with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken to protect its employees.
16. Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard and cannot be corrected by himself.
17. Report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries.

Managerial/ Supervisory:

• Distributing and directing activities of the Filling to ensure smooth functioning.
• Managing Performance of the human resources in the Refinery: guidance and direction, knowledge transfer, performace appraisals, and training needs identification.

Reporting:

• Daily and Monthly Production Reports.
• Daily activities reports and time sheets.
• Production Progress and Pending orders Reports

Education & Degree:

• Diploma in Management or related field.
• Knowledge in Filling processes.
• Knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP.)
• Knowledge in Quality and Food Safety Management System Requirements.
• Knowledge in Housekeeping, Hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Knowledge in Health and Safety and Environmental principles.

Experience- 3 years of work experience in manufacturing environment. 2 years of Supervisory work experience in edible oil or similar field..
